PD: Woman beat victim with roller skate at Glendale rink, threw chairs at officers

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Newly obtained court documents are revealing details about a violent attack that happened at a West Valley skating rink late last month.

Authorities said Justic Keemora Cofield, 25, faces aggravated assault, destruction of public property, and resisting arrest in connection with the alleged attack at Great Skate, near 43rd and Glendale avenues on Jan. 25.

According to court papers, surveillance footage showed the victim, identified only as a woman, sitting alone on a bench behind some lighting.

Police said Cofield, wearing a dark hoodie, stood a bit away for several minutes while holding two roller skates, one in each hand. At that point, Cofield approached the victim from behind and then started swinging at her, hitting her on the side of the head, court documents said…
