U.S. Egg returns with $1.9 million rebuild after devastating fire

U.S. Egg Brunch + Cocktails’ Tempe location will celebrate its reopening with a ribbon-cutting at noon Wednesday, Feb. 18, joined by Tempe Mayor Corey Woods, a longtime supporter and frequent guest, and the city firefighters who helped extinguished the fire.

Closed for 15 months, the Tempe store required a full rebuild to the studs after the after-hours fire in October 2024. The fire, caused by a water heater, spread to the roof, causing major fire and water damage.

The $1.9 million complete rebuild involved five insurance companies. During the closure, all 36 Tempe employees were reassigned to the five other U.S. Egg Phoenix metro locations…
