Police: 19-year-old Chicago Man Arrested In Phoenix, Charged In November Shooting At Jewel-osco On South Side

A 19-year-old Chicago man was taken into custody in Phoenix, Arizona, over the weekend and charged with attempted first-degree murder after allegedly shooting a man while robbing a Jewel-Osco on the South Side in November.

Chicago police said Elijah Theodore was detained in Phoenix on Friday, extradited to Chicago, and charged.

According to police, Theodore was identified as the person who shot a 46-year-old man who intervened in a robbery at Jewel-Osco on the 400 block of East 34th Street in the Lake Meadows neighborhood on November 11 in the late morning…
