Records: Woman stabbed 12 times during light rail fight in Tempe

TEMPE, Ariz. — Court records are revealing more details about a violent fight reported on the Valley Metro light rail last week that sent a woman to the hospital with many injuries.

On Feb. 12 at about 9 p.m., Tempe police officers were dispatched to reports of a fight on a light rail train traveling east of the ASU campus. Upon arrival, officers found a woman “bleeding profusely” after sustaining at least 12 stab wounds, including two stab wounds to her jaw, court records show.
