DPS identifies 2 men who died after wrong-way crash on US 60 in Tempe

TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Investigators have released the names of two drivers who died following a wrong-way crash on US 60 in Tempe last weekend.

The collision happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday on the US 60 transition ramp to Broadway Road near Interstate 10. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a driver was heading east in the westbound lanes in a 2010 Infiniti G37 coupe when he collided head-on with a 2017 Toyota Prius.

DPS says the driver of the wrong-way Infiniti, identified as 22-year-old Jake Brian Bowen of Queen Creek, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Prius, 38-year-old Abu Sayed Bin Abuya of Phoenix, was rushed to a hospital, where he later died…
