PHOENIX — Two women say an ICE agent repeatedly struck a megaphone out of one protester’s hand during a demonstration outside a Homeland Security complex in downtown Phoenix last Thursday, injuring the other in the face.
Tera Sommers and Denise Papst were among protesters gathered at the entrance of the complex when, they say, an agent initiated physical contact.
“They were all standing there, and we were yelling, and the one agent, for lack of a better word, smacked the megaphone out of my hand,” Sommers said. “And I was like, Are you serious? Like, did you really just do that?”…
