Paradise Valley mourns death of former mayor

PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. — The Town of Paradise Valley is mourning the recent death of Edward Lowry, who had served as the town’s mayor for many years.

Town officials described Lowry as a “dedicated public servant” who served Paradise Valley in several roles, including as mayor from 1998 to 2004. Lowry died on Feb. 19 at age 95.

“Throughout his public service, he remained committed to the founding vision of Paradise Valley as a residential community defined by low-density zoning, desert and mountain vistas, and engaged citizen leadership,” the town wrote in a statement following Lowry’s death…
