PHOENIX – The city of Phoenix broke a daily heat record Monday for the third consecutive day.
The previous March 2 record of 90 degrees was initially set in 1910 and matched twice: in 1921 and 2016. Monday’s temperature at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, which the National Weather Service uses for the city’s official readings, topped out at 93 degrees.
While the calendar still says winter, Phoenix has now reached at least 90 degrees on four consecutive days…
