This metro Phoenix grocery store cited for moldy cauliflower, lettuce

Maricopa County health inspectors cited three metro Phoenix stores for several priority food safety violations during the week of Feb. 16. Violations included moldy cauliflower, lettuce and ginger and storing eggs outside of the fridge, among other issues.

Maricopa County Environmental Services regulates grocery stores, convenience stores and gas stations that sell prepared food under the same rules as restaurants and conducts routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
