Authorities investigating the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie have provided an update following the discovery of a woman’s body in a canal.
A woman was discovered dead in a Phoenix, Arizona canal on Saturday, March 7. Phoenix police confirmed they are examining the death after responding to the 27th Place and Grand Canal Trail area at around 7.40 a.m. on Saturday.
According to a police statement, “Details on the call indicated that an adult female was on the nearby canal bank and was unresponsive. When officers arrived, they located the woman, who was ultimately pronounced deceased on scene.” It comes after an ex-FBI agent revealed the hidden codeword that Savannah used in her message to the kidnappers.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office has now confirmed the body is unrelated to the Nancy Guthrie investigation. They informed TMZ they have “not been notified of any connection reference that case to the Nancy Guthrie case.”…
