A six-month project to repave almost 10 miles of State Route 51 in Phoenix will break ground March 13.
The Arizona Department of Transportation will remove the top layer of old, worn asphalt pavement between the Interstate 10 “Mini-Stack” interchange and Shea Boulevard. The agency will use a process called diamond grinding to create a smooth surface.
