Charge recommended against AG investigator in shooting death of Mesa mom

MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — Mesa police announced Friday that detectives are recommending a felony charge against an employee of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office whom they said shot and killed a Mesa mother of seven nearly two weeks ago, but the AG’s office isn’t convinced.

Detectives said they submitted one count of negligent homicide against DuLance Morin, 47, who has been on leave from the attorney general’s office since the shooting.

The case has been sent to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, and it will be up to prosecutors whether to pursue the case and charge Morin…
