Homeless advocates ramp up outreach during heat wave after woman’s death

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An early heat wave hitting the Valley has homeless advocates rushing to get resources to people living on the street, while mourning the loss of a woman volunteers got to know quite well over the years.

Tom’s Palms, a grassroots organization dedicated to helping the homeless, said a woman who was about to get her life back on track died in the heat this week.
