Masked suspect caught on camera throwing bricks at car in Ahwatukee, causing thousands in damages

PHOENIX — Phoenix police are searching for a suspect caught on surveillance video hurling bricks at a parked car in an Ahwatukee neighborhood, leaving behind thousands of dollars in damage and a shaken vehicle owner.

The incident happened around midday on March 19 near Loop 202 and 32nd Street, where 18-year-old Evan MacKenzie says a masked individual pulled up in an older-model gray or blue truck before targeting his 2008 Saturn.

Security footage shows the suspect stepping out of the vehicle with their face covered and throwing two bricks and a cinder block directly at the car’s windshield. The impact shattered glass and left visible dents and scratches across the vehicle…
