Phoenix faces growing legal pressure over new data center rules

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Data center developers are punching back at the city of Phoenix, arguing that a new ordinance designed to protect neighborhoods from large-scale data center construction is unconstitutional.

Phoenix has seen a surge of data centers across the Valley in recent years. Last summer, the City Council approved an ordinance that makes it harder to build new data centers near neighborhoods and other sensitive areas.
