MovingPlace has released its latest monthly report, revealing America’s most popular ZIP codes for movers based on nearly 500 thousand recent moves and one Goodyear ZIP code is among the Top 10 most popular for attracting new residents.
The March report first looked at moves per capita, and now explores the ZIP codes with the highest move count overall.

The ZIP Codes Attracting the Most Movers – March Report
- The hottest ZIP code in America by total move volume is Washington, DC (20002) and is the only non-Sunbelt ZIP in the top 10.
- Texas dominates total move volume, claiming five of the top ten spots with Mckinney (75071), New Braunfels (78130) and Leander, (78641) leading.
- The top ZIP code by moves per capita is Nashville, TN (37228) with 12.8 moves per capita which has been creeping up the ranking in the past couple of months.
- Santa Fe, NM (87506) saw the single largest month-over-month jump in the country, seeing an increase in movers of +53.85%.
- Four of the top ten month-over-month gainers are California ZIP codes, a potential early signal that California’s long-running outmigration trend may be shifting.
