Horse euthanized as MCSO executes warrant in animal neglect case

TOLLESON, Ariz. — A horse had to be euthanized after sheriff’s deputies responded to a West Valley property on Tuesday and observed animals suffering from “severe neglect.”

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a property in Tolleson near 99th and Southern avenues in relation to an animal neglect case.

MCSO said two horses were seized by deputies and a third had to be humanely euthanized. Pictures released by the agency showed a horse that appeared malnourished…
