Doctors warn about ‘gas station heroin’ sold over the counter in Arizona

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Doctors are warning about a substance they call “gas station heroin” that is available over the counter at vape stores across Arizona.

The product is called 7-OH, a component derived from kratom. An addiction treatment specialist said it acts like an opioid and can be purchased in less than five minutes without an ID.
