A 29-year-old Arizona man faces two counts of first-degree murder after allegedly killing his parents in their Peoria home, claiming the attack was sparked by resentment over his psychiatric medication.
The Peoria Police Department identified the suspect as Jonathan A. Turk. Authorities took Turk into custody without incident on the evening of March 31, shortly after the suspect placed a 911 call to report the fatalities himself.
Upon arriving at the residence just after 6 p.m., officers discovered the bodies of Fraser Turk, 63, and Tina Turk, 56. According to court documents, Jonathan Turk admitted to investigators that he utilized a hammer and a knife to carry out the killings.
