A pre-dawn break-in at a Maryvale apartment left two men cut and a whole lot of neighbors on edge early Monday, after an unknown intruder slipped inside and then dove out a window to get away, according to police. Officers searched the 65th Avenue and McDowell Road area but did not immediately find the suspect, and detectives are now trying to figure out how he got into the unit in the first place.
What happened
Phoenix officers were called around 4 a.m. to an apartment near 65th Avenue and McDowell Road, where they found two men with lacerations, according to Arizona’s Family. A woman in the apartment reportedly came across an unknown man inside, and when two men tried to wrestle him under control, they were cut. The intruder then climbed out a window and took off in an unknown direction, the outlet reported.
