Fire fighter wife rescues driver from burning car in north Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A Valley mother is being credited with helping pull a driver from his wrecked car seconds before it went up in flames after witnessing a serious crash in north Phoenix.

Julie Read was sitting at a light in north Phoenix last month when a car smashed into the back of the SUV next to her. The impact sent the SUV flying into the intersection, and the car’s engine quickly went up in smoke.
