If you want to ride the Thunderbolt coaster at Kennywood before the summer ends you better get out to the amusement park this weekend.
That’s because the Allegheny County attraction announced on social media that the roller coaster will be closed for the rest of the year in order to undergo maintenance.
“Time for your last Thunderbolt rides of 2026! After this weekend, the King of the Coasters will begin a maintenance improvement project to ensure the Thunderbolt remains one of the greatest wooden coasters in the world for generations to come,” the park said in a post on Facebook…
