A week after an improbable 29-point comeback in a win over Kiski Area, the cardiac kids known as the Plum Mustangs staged another incredible comeback, but it was the Armstrong River Hawks who had the last laugh as Kayden Lewis returned a kickoff 90 yards in the final minute to give the River Hawks a wild 38-35 win at Plum.
“Nuts,” Armstrong coach Frank Fabian said succinctly. “I felt like we had control of the game. I told our coaches before the game: You’re never going to get comfortable because of No. 6 (Plum quarterback John Nonnenberg).”
