Summer’s over, boo-hoo-hoo. Or maybe not quite? One of Pittsburgh’s newer seasonal attractions gets one final hurrah as Riverlife’s Shore Thing hosts The Last Splash. That festive barge on the Allegheny offers an afternoon of everything from live music and DJ sets to food, drink and a workshop for making giant, wearable “river creature” puppets who’ll then lead a community parade. The free event wrapping Shore Thing’s second season starts at noon Saturday, Oct. 10.
