A Pittsburgh-based plumbing company will have to pay restitution following a settlement with the state.
The state attorney general filed a lawsuit against Gillece Services back in 2020 alleging the company’s “$93 or Free Clog Crusher Special” was misleading customers.
The special said Gillece would unclog drains for $93 and if they couldn’t the service was free. However, many homeowners were told their clogs could not be cleared using a snake, but only through costly excavation work…
