A video played in court showed the last moments of Samantha Kalkbrenner’s life as she boarded a Serra Catholic school van on her way to high school.

Once she gets on the van, she drops her water bottle, goes to pick it up and sits back down.

Moments later, the school van driver gets to the intersection of 3rd Street and Richland Avenue. He looks both ways before turning onto the road.

Meanwhile, dashcam video from another car captured William Soliday’s Volkswagen Jetta driving erratically along Richland Avenue, at one point driving up to 107 miles per hour.

Police say he and Andrew Voigt were racing on the way to work that day.

Soliday eventually crashed into the Serra Catholic van, and Samantha was thrown from the vehicle and pinned underneath of it.
