Steelers interviewing Texans QB coach Jerrod Johnson for OC job

The Houston Texans have put together an amazing staff for the 2023 season, and it’s shown in a few different ways.

One, well, the obvious one, is that they went from a three-win team last season to not only a playoff team but a playoff team that won a playoff game. It has truly been one of the best turnarounds in the sport.

Secondly, the Texans are getting calls and acquiring interest from other teams all offseason now about their staff members. We saw how teams were interested in Bobby Slowik for their head coaching job . Now, there is another guy on the staff people are wanting on their team.

According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Pittsburgh Steelers will interview the Texans’ QB coach, Jerrod Johnson, for their offensive coordinator job.

Johnson is somewhat responsible for turning Stroud into what he was this last season. So, to see him go could end up hurting the Texans a bit.
