Man accused of robbing Dollar General arrested

A man has been arrested in Sunday night’s armed robbery at Dollar General in Lincoln Place.

55-year-old William Posey is facing robbery and other charges, accused of holding an employee at gunpoint and taking around $450 in cash from two registers.

Police used surveillance video to track Posey and arrested him in Hazelwood.

Officers say he admitted to robbing the store, and told them the gun he used was fake.
