One person died in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 70 in Washington County, according to the Washington County Coroner’s office.
The crash happened shortly before midnight Tuesday on the interstate in Fallowfield.
According to the coroner, the person who died was alone in a vehicle and was seen traveling east in the westbound lanes of I-70.
The vehicle hit a tractor-trailer.
No information about the driver was released, pending notification of family. It was unknown if the driver was wearing a seat belt, the coroner said.
State police were investigating.
Another person was taken to a hospital, TribLive news partner WTAE reported.
A truck driver’s dash camera captured a video of the vehicle heading the wrong way in the left lane past tractor-trailers before the crash.
The westbound lanes between exits 40 and 39 had reopened as of about 6 a.m. after having been closed since the crash.
