Pittsburgh area casino hit with $10,000 fine

The Gaming Control Board has levied a $10,000 fine on Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

The fine was the result of an incident in which an individual on the Board’s Self-Exclusion List was permitted to gamble at slot machines and cash checks.

A casino operator must refuse wagers from and deny gaming privileges to any self-excluded person.

If a person on the self-exclusion list is caught in a gaming facility, they can be charged with defiant trespass.

In October, the Live! Casino in Westmoreland County was fined $30,000 for letting in someone who was underage and two people who were self-excluded from gambling.
