Quarterback Justin Fields has the Steelers 3-0 to start the 2024 season, and his improving play has many arguing that he should remain the starter even when Russell Wilson (calf) is healthy.
Since signing him in March, Pittsburgh has supported the idea that Wilson is its starting quarterback. He is still listed as QB1 on the team’s depth chart .
If the Steelers are ready to change their mind, as the locker room seems to be buying into Fields , some believe they should consider trading Wilson.
“The Steelers will surely have to anoint [Fields] with the QB1 label at some point,” USA Today’s Nate Davis writes . “The 2024 season is only three weeks old, but several teams already seem to be entering the throes of a quarterback crisis.”
That is true. The Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins are examples of teams with question marks at quarterback.
Titans quarterback Will Levis has thrown just four touchdowns and five interceptions in the first three weeks.
