Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin Kraus and deputies spread holiday cheer by giving out poinsettias

Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office personnel spent their lunch on Monday spreading holiday cheer in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Sheriff Kevin Kraus and several deputies spent time around the courthouse, handing out hundreds of poinsettias.

Kraus told Channel 11 that he and other officials have been doing this giveaway for around 10 years. He said it’s a great way to help locals in their Christmas celebrations.

“It’s really gratifying to be able to give something to the people Downtown for Christmas,” he said.

Bob’s Flower in the Strip District donated the flowers for distribution.
