Store ordered closed, restaurant under Consumer Alert in first violations of 2025

The first Consumer Alert and Closure of 2025 in Allegheny County have been posted by the Health Department.

Rahma Grocery in Carnegie was ordered closed on Thursday after an inspection showed a few “high risk” violations.

Those include an active roach infestation observed in a meat processing area and washing room.

“Too many to count dead German roaches in retails, basement, meat processing area and ware washing area,” the report from the ACHD reads.

The operator told an inspector they have the building treated for pests once a month, but was unable to show an invoice.

Also, a meat saw was dirty with different meats like raw fish and raw beef on it.

The building is also not currently equipped with hot water.

In South Oakland, Solo 7 Restaurant & Hookah Lounge was hit with a Consumer Alert after an inspection on Thursday.

The alert was issued after a live mouse was found in the basement, along with droppings in the kitchen behind a cook line, under a sink and other areas. Nesting material was also found.
