Snow totals from Monday’s winter storm

Monday’s winter storm system was hardly noticeable in northern Allegheny and southern Butler counties, but to the south it was a different story.

The National Weather Service says the most snow fell in West Virginia, more than 10 inches in Morgantown.

In Fayette County, 7 inches fell in the Uniontown area.

Scottsdale in Westmoreland County also received 7 inches of snow.

Totals in Washington County were between 4 and 5 inches in Charleroi, Canonsburg, and Eighty-Four.

In the Mon Valley, Jefferson Hills and Glassport got 4 inches of snow.

Pittsburgh and north of the city got around an inch or two.

Looking at this map from the National Weather Service shows how the Pittsburgh area was right on the edge of the more significant snow.
