McKeesport Man Sentenced to 18 Years for Cocaine Trafficking

A McKeesport man has been sentenced to 18 years in federal prison following his conviction on cocaine trafficking charges. According to a statement from the United States Attorney’s Office, Frank McClellan, age 55, received the sentence after being found guilty of conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute substantial quantities of cocaine, including five kilograms or more of the substance and 280 grams or more of cocaine base.

The sentencing, which includes five years of supervised release, was handed down by Senior United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab yesterday. Between March 2021 and September 2021, McClellan participated in a drug trafficking operation, which was eventually busted, leading to his conviction. United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan’s office has reinforced the commitment to dismantling such networks that push narcotics into communities, as seen in McClellan’s case.

Assistant United States Attorney Katherine C. Jordan was the lead prosecutor on this case, representing the federal government in court.
