The Carnegie Library of Homestead in Munhall is referred to by locals as a community center with a library in the middle, a description that’s more apt than ever with ongoing renovations.
The massive 126-year-old library – entered by a large staircase – welcomes all to what’s inside: classrooms, community gathering rooms, a gym, an indoor swimming pool, batting cages, a music hall, a full bar and – oh yeah, there’s also books. Its collection includes 35,000-45,000 titles, with more than 1 million books available via its digital system.
good library…
