A man was shot at the Swissvale Station along Pittsburgh’s East Busway on the Fourth of July, sending commuters scrambling and prompting heightened concerns about safety in one of Allegheny County’s busiest transit corridors.
According to CBS Pittsburgh’s July 4, 2025 report, Port Authority police responded to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. East Busway station shortly after 12:30 p.m., where they found a man with a gunshot wound to the torso.
