Man owes $157,000 in restitution to emergency services, others: Penn Township Police

Penn Township Police have filed new charges against an Adams County man alleging that he failed to pay for equipment he purchased and did not perform some work for fire and police departments, resulting in a total loss of $157,925.22, according to court records.

Darrell Cornett, Jr., 37, of the 300 block of Harney Road in Mount Joy Township, operated First Response Emergency Lighting LLC in Penn Township between February 2021 and December 2024, according to a criminal complaint.

In July, police charged Cornett with deceptive or fraudulent business practices, a third-degree felony, after he allegedly failed to install a piece of equipment on a Hanover Area Fire & Rescue vehicle that the department paid for, according to court records.
