Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro joined state and local elected officials in celebrating the opening of a new terminal at the Pittsburgh International Airport on Oct. 14.
The terminal ushers in a new era of air travel, infrastructure investment and economic growth for Western Pennsylvania, officials said. Part of the Pittsburgh International Airports $1.7 billion Terminal Modernization Program (TMP), the new terminal will be part of the city’s hosting of the 2026 NFL draft which is expected to draw as many as 700,000 visitors and generate $213 million in economic impact.
