Culture, streetwear and the closed East Libery store Mo Gear are celebrated in this photo exhibition

After 22 years amassing an arsenal of streetwear – most of it from the early 2000s heyday of brands such as Baby Phat and Rocawear – Todd Levine was ready to shutter his East Liberty store, Mo Gear.

Then he had a chance encounter with a photographer that has ensured his store will remain a piece of Pittsburgh’s fashion history canon.

Though the shop at 6019 Penn Ave. has been closed since July, its mission of bringing streetwear of a certain vintage to Pittsburghers lives on in the exhibition “The Last Fitting Room: Worn Memory, Living Culture.”…
