Pittsburgh restaurant under Consumer Alert now ordered closed

A restaurant in Pittsburgh has been ordered to close after failing to meet the minimum requirements following an inspection last month.

Masala House Indian Bistro on Baum Boulevard was hit with a Consumer Alert on November 19 after several issues were observed by inspectors, including a rodent and pest infestation.

During a re-inspection on Monday, Dead roaches and roach eggs were sound on a sheet tray in the kitchen, a bag of peas was ripped open by rodents and rodent droppings were found in several areas around the restaurant…
