A father-and-son pair has been sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh after being pleading guilty to violations of federal narcotics and money laundering laws — including the federal “Kingpin” drug-trafficking statute for operating a continuing criminal enterprise as well as money laundering.
Marcos Monarrez Jr., 26, of Phoenix, Ariz., was sentenced by United States District Judge J. Nicholas Ranjan to life imprisonment — with three years of supervised release to follow should he ever be released from federal prison.
