Pitt chancellor receives 33% raise, bringing salary up to $1.25 million

University of Pittsburgh Chancellor Joan Gabel has received a 33% raise, bringing her base annual salary up to $1.25 million.

Pitt’s Board of Trustees approved the $300,000 pay bump during a meeting Thursday afternoon. Ms. Gabel said she plans to donate the funds from this year’s raise to students and faculty.
