PITTSBURGH, PA (WTRF) — A student at Brashear High School found a unique way to show appreciation for his school community—by ordering a food truck for all the students, according to our CBS affiliate KDKA.
Christian Romero, a student at Brashear, partnered with family friends who own Taqueria El Buen Pastor to bring their food truck to school and provide lunch for all students. His gesture was meant to express gratitude for the support and welcome he and his family received since moving to Pittsburgh from Toluca, Mexico, two years ago.
Romero’s stepmother, Teresa Mendez Juarez, who served as an interpreter during the event, said he wanted to share a part of his culture and represent where he came from through food.
