Crews preparing for possible snowfall in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA — The Pittsburgh Department of Public Works is adjusting staffing and operations to address snow flurries and freezing temperatures expected in the city, according to Mayor Corey O’Connor.

In a social media post made at 4:40 p.m. Sunday, O’Connor said he ordered the department’s night shift to report early for a 12-hour shift. He said 40 city trucks will be on the roads across Pittsburgh through 10 p.m., with an additional 20 trucks assigned overnight to salt slick spots and known problem areas.
