EAST HUNTINGDON TWP., Pa. – A Connellsville man is facing attempted homicide charges after police say he shot another man multiple times Tuesday afternoon in the parking lot of a Planet Fitness in Westmoreland County.
Pennsylvania State Police said troopers were called to the Crossroads Plaza lot in East Huntingdon Township on January 13 after multiple 911 calls reported a shooting victim. The suspect fled the scene in a black Ford truck before officers arrived.
The victim, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was flown to a Pittsburgh-area hospital and was able to identify Steven Heald of Connellsville as the shooter, according to investigators.
