On 1/22/26 at 03:31 The Oakmont Volunteer Fire Department was alerted to a commercial fire alarm on Frankstown Rd. in Penn Hills (Station 225’s district). Fire units arrived and found a small kitchen fire to have been put out by the buildings sprinkler system and held the assignment to the first arriving units. During the investigation it was determined that the building would need completely evacuated due to safety concerns and at 05:51, Station 216 along with other units were requested back to the scene to assist with clearing floors and helping residents safely leave the structure. Great work to all involved! Crews from Oakmont operated on scene for over 4 hours.
