Pittsburgh Judge Hurt In Courthouse Fall As Driver Arrested At Scene

Magisterial District Judge Nina Ricciardi is recovering in a Pittsburgh hospital after a fall outside city court yesterday that left her with a head injury, according to police. Officers said the judge struck her head on the sidewalk, and the man who had been driving her was arrested at the scene.

WPXI reported that Ricciardi fell outside the city court and was taken to the hospital after hitting her head on the sidewalk. Pittsburgh police told the station the driver was taken into custody after showing signs of impairment during a field sobriety test. According to WPXI, court staff confirmed there was no immediate impact on scheduled cases.
