Two Pennsylvania employers cited following 2025 US Steel plant explosion

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WHTM) — The US Department of Labor has cited two Pennsylvania employers following a federal investigation into an August 2025 explosion at a United States Steel Corp. worksite near Pittsburgh.

Back on August 11, 2025, an explosion occurred at a U.S. Steel plant, Clairton Coke Works, in Allegheny County, which ended up taking the life of two individuals, as well as injuring 12 others.
