The Baked Bean has seen an outpouring of community support since opening this winter at 380 Broadmoor Avenue, at the former site of Mojoe Coffee House. Since Mojoe’s closure in 2009, the Sunset Hills neighborhood has been without a coffee shop — until now.
Co-owners Ali Catto, Carnegie Drive, and Hannah Olsen look forward to serving parents and kids on their way to and from Howe Elementary School. They hope The Baked Bean will serve as a “third space” for people, whether they need a place to work remote, meet with friends or simply spend quality time in the community.
“We’re so excited to open the doors,” Catto said just a few days before their soft opening. She’s always dreamt of opening a bakery in Mt. Lebanon and couldn’t be happier with the location. “We’re finally giving the community what they asked for.”…
